Traveling causes you to be much more physically active than usual, resulting in unaccustomed aches and pains and even injuries. Each destination comes with its own health risks. It's not fun to wake up with traveler's diarrhea, for example, and it’s even worse when you have no medicine to take for it. This checklist can help you avoid that kind of disappointment:
- Prescription antibiotic prescribed by your doctor.
- Diarrhea medicine.
- Laxative.
- Liniment for muscle aches.
- Ointment for insect bites.
- Sunburn protection (and sunburn medication just in case).
- Allergy and cold medicines.
- Pain medication.
- Medication for motion sickness and nausea.
- Triple antibiotic ointment.
- More band aids and bandages than you think you'll need.
- Alcohol and alcohol pads.
- Hydrogen Peroxide as a disinfectant (if the bottle fits in your suitcase).
- Moleskin pads for foot blisters.
- Elastic bandages for sprains.
